URDT institute graduates are championing entrepreneurship in the communities.

A total number of 35 graduates have functional business. The institute conducted a mini survey of its graduates from 2017 in motor cycle repair and maintenance and tailoring business groups. The 35 five youth have been able to increase their income after a business training at the URDTI. It was found out that in all the 35 groups there was an increased of an average of 30% in six months.

Results indicated an increase of projects started
by the graduates mainly in the trading centers. Results further indicate increased  practices of savings with 70% involved in village savings and credit Associations. There was also increased practice of record keeping with 85% of the groups having business records. Creation of employment opportunities for other individuals by the graduates was evident with an average of two trainees per graduate.
